· “Fun and Friendship”: On a Saturday morning in April we get together to join Jay Levenson, Personal Coach, as he leads us through a variety of fun activities designed to break down barriers to communication.

· “Visit the Apple Orchard”: In September we gather at the Mental Health Center and caravan to Wilson’s Apple Orchard where we enjoy a hay ride. Some of us stay at the picnic tables and chat. We

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

bring our own dinner to enjoy in the company of friends and then make S’mores!
Text Box: “Sound of Friendship Dessert Concert”: Every Spring we hold our annual fundraiser in the form of a fun and fantastic concert featuring local performers and desserts from local restaurants, chefs, and friends of our program who are great cooks!

Thanks to the generosity of friends in our community, we can offer each client and each person waiting for a friend a free ticket to this fun event.

Text Box: A winter event near Valentine’s day to be announced. Text Box: “Indoor Picnic”: It’s so hot the second week in July that last year we decided to move this pot luck picnic inside. We gather on the second Wednesday of July at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Everyone brings delicious food to share and we play bean-bag-toss and other action games. Text Box: Special Events To support Compeer friendships and facilitate development of social skills we offer several fun events each year for the entire Compeer Family. (Volunteers, those waiting, advisory board and our director.)
